I love this painting. I found a piece of cardboard lying around, and I had just bought some new tubes of blue, yellow and white paint and hadn't used them yet, so decided to do something. It was a waste of money to buy the paint and not use it, and I'm a sucker for new art supplies (especially nicely sharpened pencil crayons). Anyway, I started fooling around with smudging the paint with a tissue and using water to make the paint drip. I have an old school printer that still uses the tractor thing to pull it along, so the paper has those edges with the holes in it. I had a bunch of those left on my desk from something, so I took three, taped them across the painting and painted over it to get the white circles. There are a few circles of blue paint in there, and I used the cap off a bottle of hair dye for that. I put the cap down, pressed it hard to the paper, and then took the paintbrush with watered down blue paint on it and let it run down the side so it stuck to the edges of the cap when it hit the carboard and made the circle. Basically this is an experiment that turned out really well.
